Amazing new report format for the ASB system

HUBSolutions has created a completely new report format using Excel in a way never before attempted and installed the same for our Croydon Customer.

The new format allows the user to view a summary of the whole case on a single Excel Row, even though the case contains multiple Persons, Incidents, Actions and Key Performance Indicators. They key to this solution has been the complexity of the Data View which is fed into the Excel Report. The View reads all the separate records within the case, sorts them by type and then, for each type of data creates a concatenated summary list.

This resolves a long standing issue with Excel Reporting, which is that when the record you want to see in the report is actually linked to multiple other records, there has been a choice to see a statistical summary (eg “2 Legal Actions” or “12 Incidents”) or to see the first of the last Action / Incident, or only one of the Persons in the Case. All of these options result in the user seeing an incomplete image of the case, and potentially making poor decisions about the way forward.

The new Report is particularly suitable for Case Reviews between Manager and Staff, and for this reason was released at a training session for managers at the London Borough of Croydon. The Code for this report has now been rolled out to most of the Caseworks sites and will shortly be enhanced to be available for the other Caseworks Modules - Domestic Abuse, Mediation, Tenancy Support and FOI/Complaints.
