Our History

We are a private company made up of IT professionals and ex-local government staff.  HUBSolutions was established in 1997 when the Managing Director, Peter Hall - then Assistant Director of Housing at the London Borough of Hackney - left Local Government to set up a private company.  To begin with the company worked in the Revenues and Benefits field - assisting Hackney and other London Boroughs migrate their systems to the latest Benefit systems.  Early in the company’s history, there was an opportunity to write a new system from scratch, for a private company which was providing racial harassment support services to a London Council. This was the first version of Caseworks. The next upgrade was installed in the London Borough of Croydon - initially as an Access Database, but quickly upgraded to SQL Server. Croydon have remained loyal customers to this day.  At various times during the last 25 years, local government staff with an aptitude for IT and an interest in Case Management or Revenues and Benefits were recruited to help with development, implementation and training. The company devised and wrote a number of systems for Revenues and Benefits - many of which are still in use by London Boroughs (and Bristol) and one which was the subject of a successful bid for Government Funding in partnership with Capita plc. That system continues to be an integral part of the Capita Housing Benefits system. Caseworks has developed into a multi modular Case Management system, covering Anti Social Behaviour, Domestic Abuse, Mediation, Estate Management and Tenancy Support, Freedom of Information and Complaints. Most of the customers who use these systems have been with HUBSolutions for many years.
