New! Mapping on our Anti-Social Behaviour Case System when doing a normal search

HUBSolutions is continuing its current project to introduce mapping to every aspect of the system. The latest innovation, it to link mapping to the Case, Person and Incident Search screens for the Anti Social Behaviour System (module). The same facility will then be extended to our other modules - Estate Management / Notification system, Domestic Abuse, Mediation and Tenancy Support.

How does it work? The user just opens the search screen in the normal way, makes selections to filter the cases - eg. Cases which are Active and Cases Risk Assessed as Red. They click “Search” in the normal way and the list of clickable cases appears. What is new, is that a “globe icon” or Map Button also appears. Click on the Map Button, and a Map Screen reading from Open Street Maps appears. Each Anti Social Behaviour Case is displayed on an enhanced format which now includes zoom-in, zoom-out and navigation buttons. Whatever the distribution of the selected cases, the user will be able to show them all on a map which is correctly sized and located.

As before, a list of cases - each showing as a hyperlink - appears on the left hand tab. Click on a hyperlink, and you zoom in on the relevant map point. Click on the map point and you get an on screen summary. Click on the “more details” link and you navigate directly to the correct case or record within the case.

AND MORE IS YET TO COME. We are looking to create a facility which gives users control over the colour coding, so that you can choose from a range of other fields and for each field value, choose a field colour for your map. Watch this space - its all happening here!
