Braintree Caseworks - used for Freedom of Information - gets a full upgrade
The Braintree Caseworks - Case Management Software Solution for Freedom of Information - got a complete upgrade over the Easter Bank holiday.
The system was first installed in 2016, and this was the first full upgrade since then. There have in fact been many minor enhancements and customisation changes, but this was the big one, bringing in many new features for end users. This upgrade was particularly tricky, because the system relied so heavily on Correspondence Templates, which were bound to be massively affected by our new encrypted folder solution for uploaded documents.
The benefits to Braintree of the new version are:-
Full compatibility with Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome facilites
A rewritten Login software for added security, which controls password changes, keeps passwords encrypted and provides a full self service help facility for users who are locked out
A new splash screen, for system messages, a link to the last case you visited and an option to lock your account to your organisation’s IP Address
A new menu, with more options
All Document folder names and all navigation URLs on Case Pages are now fully encrypted, making hacking extremely difficult.
A beautiful new Document Upload facility which has no size limit, and no limit to the number of files being uploaded, and when the files are very large, shows you a progress bar.
An enhanced Correspondence facility in which Email and SMS outputs are now built in.
The ability to tab through a “caseload list”, even after you have selected one of the cases to view. a popup of the list allows you to simultaneously view and review any other case in that list
New Email-In and Email-out facilities
The system can now be enhanced for other types of work - first in line, is “Members Enquiries” - watch out for the next post from Braintree
