The London Borough of Lewisham, had divided the Borough into 18 Areas, based upon their Housing Management Service. Their rents system coded all their Council properties by these Areas, but this coded less than half of all the properties in the Borough. There was no database which coded the whole property gazetteer.
HUBSolutions mapped all the rent properties, using MS Mappoint™, and used the map, to draw accurate boundaries, which could be used to extract all the properties in the Property gazetteer according to the Housing Management Boundaries. This data was fed back into the system, and the Properties, People and Incidents re-coded accordingly. In addition, a new set of Area reports were created, bringing the total number of Excel Pivot Workbooks to 150 (each of which had 4 to 6 tables and charts).
This level of analysis was important to Lewisham, because in each Management Area, the Local Office and the Specialist Team were managing cases. The new Area Analysis allowed reports to combine both, by Area, and also allowed Users to list cases by Management Area and by the Organisation Responsible. The upgrade and conversion was performed over a single weekend.
