Data Protection Policy
HUBSolutions respects your data
HUBSolutions will take all reasonable steps to safeguard our customer's data.
1. We will only hold customer's own data for the purposes of maintaining, testing and upgrading the system or because we are hosting a customer system.
2. We will gain access to customer data via approved and secure Virtual Private Network Links or by collecting a disk in person. We will never ask customers to send personal data in the post or to entrust to a third party.
3. We will keep customer's data on a secure live system server or on a single development machine. We will not keep data for longer than is necessary or increase the risk to test data by unnecessarily copying to other media.
4. When machines which have held customer data are decommissioned or recyled, we will forensically erase the disk drive.
5. Machines with customer data will be safeguarded at all times, in secure buildings or, if portable, will be with a member of staff. Laptops with customer data will never be left unattended in a vehicle or with a third party.
6. Where customer data has to be printed or written in whole or in part to disk, the paper records and / or disks will be shredded when no longer required,
7. Where a third party would like to see the customisation or use made of the system by one of our existing customers, we will always seek permission before doing so.
