New Facility in the Anti-Social Behaviour System to handle “Houses in Multiple Occupation”

January 15, 2018

At the request of two Caseworks Anti-Social Behaviour Module customers, HUBSolutions has implemented a major new facility to import the HMO register and allow HMOs to be properly recorded when Cases are entered onto the system.

Both Croydon and Greenwich Councils have provided HUBSolutions with an extract from their HMO register. HUBSolutions have set up a new facility which allows the registers (in Excel format) to be emailed to a designated Email Account and automatically imported into the system – automatically updating the Property Database.

However, the enhancement goes much further than this. It allows the User to declare that a Client lives within a Room or Rooms of a single property and, in so doing it adds a new sub-property record to the original building record which was imported from the LLPG (Local Authority Land and Property Gazetteer). Once added, other people can be linked to this sub-address, and the new address can be searched for in address searches. Furthermore, when an HMO resident appears in a Case, this is prominently flagged in the Case History. It is also possible to search for HMO residents and to include HMO residency in a Report.
