Kier and Islington Phase 1 Completed

HUBSolutions completed Phase 1 of a contract with Kier plc to provide a tablet solution for surveyors working on Kier’s Islington Contract . The software allows surveyors to record all of the defects and raise necessary orders when inspecting empty properties. The system allows the user to code the requirements of each room in the property, using a Schedule of Rates, and allows the inclusion of a photograph.  The data is held on the PC until it can be uploaded over the wireless network to the central database. Phase 2 – a matching desktop solution – is due in the New Year.

HUBS' first RSL

Our first RSL - Riverside Housing Group, in Liverpool - have a test system installed in record time, with their 5,000 existing cases imported from Lotus Notes. A major training programme for over 100 staff was completed by the first week in March.

Sutton buys stand-alone QA system

The London Borough of Sutton announced its decision to purchase the stand-alone QA system for SX3 Benefits.

Almost done...

Just one more to go, of the 36 Academy QA installations!   A big project completed, on time and on budget.

News for January 2006

South Tyneside ready for Caseworks

South Tyneside Caseworks installed by the end of the month with a go-live date planned in February.   South Tyneside Housing Department are piloting the Tenancy Interface designed to increase the speed of data entry and improve the quality and quantity of personal data.

Strong figures for 2004/05

HUBSolutions announces record turnover figures for the financial year 2004/5, with a further 50% increase predicted for 2005/6.

Christmas comes early for QA users

Despite the festive break, well over 50% of the QA module installations were completed by the end of the year.

Caseworks wins tenders!

Riverside Housing Group, Solihull Arms Length Management Organisation, South Tyneside and St Albans City Council confirm their decisions to purchase Caseworks. Solihull did so after a formal tender process, Riverside and South Tyneside did so after very strong recommendations from existing customers.

QA goes ahead

We provided a demo of the completed QA module to the Academy User Group at a session hosted by Epsom and Ewell Council and we successfully completed installation of the QA module at the first 10 sites.

Basildon Council go live

Basildon Council went live with a re-customised version of Caseworks including the newly released Correspondence Module.

Academy QA goes into final user testing!


Staff from Amber Valley Council spent a week at Trowbridge working with HUBSolutions Ltd and Capita Software Ltd, putting the final touches on the new DWP funded module.   By the end of the month, the system was fully installed at Amber Valley Council.

The Islington stand-alone QA system was up and running by the month end.

Sefton Council in Liverpool, go live with Caseworks, following an extensive period of review of the market options.

Sefton and West Lothian pilot projects


Sefton and West Lothian Councils are piloting the Caseworks Correspondence facility.

Three major installations begin


HUBSolutions began the installation of three major systems at Islington Council. These are the Debtsys add-on to SX3 Revenues and Benefits, the Quality Assurance System stand-alone version and a new development called the Case Decision Sheet, to document benefit assessments completed.

West Lothian Revamp

After 18 months of operation and almost 2,000 cases entered into the system, West Lothian have asked HUBSolutions to recustomise the system, taking advantage of new facilities such as correspondence and more closely matching their procedures and requirements. After detailed consultation this is in hand for August.

South Tyneside buys Caseworks

South Tyneside have placed a firm order for Caseowrks purely on the basis of publicity material and a side visit. The first customisation meeting is planned for August.


St Albans buy Caseworks

St Albans have placed a firm order for the ASB module, and after several demonstrations the borough have expressed a strong interest in developing various other Caseworks Plus modules.

Dudley Buys Caseworks

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council has confirmed their decision to buy Caseworks Plus. This is now the second Caseworks customer in Birmingham. Dudley council will be piloting an online interface with their land and property gazeteer.

QA Academy Module launched

HUBSolutions have been working on a partnership to develop their QA module with Academy for users of the Academy User Group. This initiative has secured funding by the DWP providing 36 current Academy users sign up for the new module. The initiative is the result of a working pilot with Amber Valley District Council.


ACPO 2005 Success

ACPO 2005 at the Birmingham NEC has proven to be a huge success. HUBSolutions had the chance to meet with existing customers and potential customers and show off the new modules in PLUS. Our guests at ACPO included 2 members of the Strathclyde Police force who've been helping us to develop and pilot a new Community Policing Module (CP)

Enfield Implements Caseworks Plus

Enfield have been given a test system following the purchase of Caseworks Plus and are very happy with the results. Full implementation in the borough is due to take place shortly.

St Albans agrees purchase of Caseworks Plus

After just one demo St Albans have been impressed with what they've seen in our new modular caseworking database and have verbally agreed to buy the system. Preperations are being made for implementation in the near future.

Glasgow City Council buys Caseworks

Following a successful scoping excercise earlier this month, Glasgow City Council have confirmed their decision to purchase Caseworks Plus. Glasgow will be used to pilot many of the new modules that have been recently introduced to the Caseworks Plus suite. The contract will allow HUBSolutions to have a long term partnership with the city.

HUBSolutions to attend MAY ACPO conference

For those who failed to notice the garishly unmissable banner advert on the HUBS home page this April, you need your eyes tested. HUBSolutions has announced that it will be attending this years Association of Chief Police Officers Conference 2005 at the Birmingham NEC. In recent years the need for local councils and police to deal with the more everyday ASB related crimes has come along a great deal. Five years ago if asked if we ever thought we'd attend such a conference and of course the answer would be no.
The demands of the police have changed. Having realised that the Police are not traditionally used to dealing with lower level street crime on such a serious footing what better opportunity for us to show off our range of Caseworks Modules and our new Community Policing Module.

Six become Seven - Police Module launched

The latest edition to the HUBSolutions range of ASB products designed to effectively target ASB and Hate crime is the Community Policing Module. The CP module is currently in its building stages and will be developed as part of our ongoing commitment to working directly with the Police. The module will be developed with Strathclyde Police and North Ayrshire Council, Glasgow City Council and South Lanarkshire Council. The module is specifically designed to capture data not already held in other caseworks modules used by different agencies.

Scoping excercise for Glasgow ASB strategy

HUBSolutions has been commissioned to undertake a scoping exercise for the newly created anti-social behaviour task, run jointly by Glasgow City Council and Strathclyde Police.
Peter Hall and Claire Davies from HUBSolutions interviewed all the organisations that hold data about anti-social behaviour in Glasgow. This included the CCTV control centre, community wardens and the access centre. The report was presented to Glasgow City council earlier this month. It has been well received and HUBSolutions is currently negotiating further work in connection with its recommendations. Since then as a part of those negotiations, HUBSolutions has continued to develop the intelligence modele (i+) and has introduced an integrated mapping facility.


Sefton Purchase Caseworks +

Caseworks coast to coast! Sefton Borough Council are the most recent new customers of Caseworks PLUS. Sefton have purchased the Caseworks PLUS ASB module. HUBSolutions now has Caseworks customers in from Hull on the East Coast to Sefton on the West Coast of Britain.


North Ayrshire pilots VS

HUBSolutions has been working for Ayrshire Council with funding from the Scottish Executive, to develop a new Victim Support (VS) module into Caseworks PLUS.

The new VS module is being fully developed, funded, and piloted in Scotland as part of a new initiative. The system will enable workers to manage victim support casework - the allocation of equipment and the assessment of need and outcome - specifically requested by the Executive themselves. VS also incorporates all of the other PLUS features, like multi-agency working and unparalleled flexibility & security.


New office in Glasgow
