Gloucester City Homes buys Caseworks ASB Module

The latest customer for the Caseworks ASB Module is Gloucester City Homes. As with the last three implementations, HUBSolutions adopted its highly successful "blitz" approach to customisation. After four days on-site liaison with the whole team, led by ASB Manager, Vickie King-Lowe, the team left users with a working test system. Everything is on target for a Go-Live date of 1st February, just six weeks after the first liaison meeting.

Gloucester will be the first site to go live with the "New Look and Feel". HUBSolutions was able to geo-code all of their addresses, in order to facilitate mapping for the implementation.

Launch of the Estate Management Module

HUBSolutions announced the launch of its Estate Management Module.

The Module is part of its Anti-Social Behavour Caseworks System, but is entirely separate from the ASB Module, with its own User Community, its own screens and functionality. The Module has evolved from the highly successful "Notify & Respond Module" piloted by South Lanarkshire and Glasgow Councils, where it is used to record Environmental problems and links with the Award Winning Mobile Working solution.

The Estate Management Module includes Estate Inspections, Estate Scoring, Tenancy Procedures, Tenancy Checks and Tenancy Audit and now, Fire Safety Checks. The Module has been developed in conjunction with housing customers, Hyndburn Homes, Leeds ALMOs and East Durham Homes all of whom have it operational. Hyndburn, who started the development now have a year's worth of data and are seeing real benefits. East Durham have been using it successfully to schedule all their Tenancy Audit visits since April 2009. Leeds completed a massive roll-out to hundreds of users in the three ALMOs over the summer period.

The first Estate Management User Group is to be hosted in Hyndburn in mid November, to look at possible future enhancements.

The Module is being launched at the HITEX Exhibition as Aston Villa on 20th October and at the National Federation of Housing Associations Conference on 17th and 18th November. For information, email sales@hubsolutions.co.uk

South Lanarkshire and Instant Capture win one of the "Good Communications Awards"

South Lanarkshire Council won the "Mobile Technology Award" at "The Good Communications Awards 2009" held at an award dinner hosted by Hugh Dennis at the Emirates Stadium on 8th July 2009. Their submission was the ASB Instant Capture system developed by HUBSolutions.
The award was received by Annette Finnen, Alison Moore and Mark Williams from South Lanarkshire Council.
The Judging Panel who included Dan Cobley, Marketing Director, UK, Ireland and Benelux, Google and Phillip Webb, Chair, Government Relations Group, British Computer Society made the following comments about the submission:- "... This is real evidence of how local authorities are embracing mobile technology and putting it to great use on the streets".
The award is presented to the local authority or central government department that has implemented a mobile strategy that can demonstrate either: benefits to citizens through increased access to services, or; benefits to the organisation through increased efficiencies.

HUBSolutions "ASB Instant Capture" gets its certificate

HUBSolutions has been notified by "Veritest", the organisation which carries out product testing for Microsoft(TM) that the HUBSolutions Mobile software - "ASB Instant Capture" - has passed their testing regime.

The ASB Instant Capture, was developed with South Lanarkshire Council and written by our developer, Krish Venugopal.

CASEWORKS hits one million

On 21st May, the 21 customers of CASEWORKS achieved between them 1,000,000 Case Pages. A "case page" is a single record of detail (a person / incident / action or file note) associated with an ASB Case. HUBSolutions monitors the level of usage of customer databases, and can state that the rate at which cases and pages are being entered has never been higher. 70,000 Cases and 264,000 Actions to assist Victims, and halt Offenders have been recorded. Currently Cases are being entered at the rate of 8 per hour during working hours, and 13 new case pages are being added every 5 minutes.

Much of the recent increase in usage comes from Leeds City Council, whose 3 ALMOs and TMO has been Live for less than a year and are entering new records faster than any other site. HUBSolutions is currently working with Leeds to develop a comprehensive Estate Management module. The new facility - currently under test - will include Estate Inspections, leading directly to the issuing of Works Orders or triggering Housing Procedures.

Records are being broken in other modules too. South Lanarkshire has recently passed the 20,000 mark of ASB incidents recorded by mobile phone and uploaded to the Notify and Respond Module.

HUBSolutions Exhibits at HITEX Glasgow

HUBSolutions was exhibiting its Mobile Solution at the HITEX Glasgow Exhibition on 26th March.

This is the latest part of a PR campaign for the Mobile product, which has seen several press releases, a presentation at the Local Government Forum, and will shortly be featured in a double page spread in a prominent Local Government publication.

The picture opposite is of Peter Hall talking to Brian Holmes, Senior Project Manager, South Lanarkshire Council with whom the ASB Instant Capture tool has been so successfully piloted.

HUBSolutions presentation at "Public Sector Forums"

Peter Hall, Managing Director of HUBSolutions, gave a presentation and took part in a round table discussion at the Public Sector Forums - http://www.publicsectorforums.co.uk/ - Environmental Services conference (Cleaner, Safer, Greener: Transforming Local Environments) , on Wednesday 18th March at Birmingham City Football Club.

The main topic was a case study of the highly sucessful implementation of theMobile Working Solution for Anti Social Behaviour at South Lanarkshire.

East Durham Homes buys Caseworks

East Durham Homes is the latest Housing Organisation to confirm an order for Caseworks.

After a demonstration in February, the ALMO agreed to purchase the ASB Module with the Mapping Module add-on. Following the success of the "blitz" approach to Customisation and Implentation, the HUBSolutions Team is planning to park itself in Durham in the middle of March for a week, with an anticipated Go Live date of 1st April.

South Lanarkshire goes live with the Caseworks Mobile

The Caseworks Mobile solution has had a successful Go-Live in South Lanarkshire.

Despite freezing weather conditions, wardens in this Scottish Local Authority have successfully uploaded 3,000 records from their "Smart Phones" to the Caseworks Notify and Respond Module in the first month of operation. Many of these records were loaded from GPS coordinates, without the need to key in an exact address, and many had one or more attached images. This has allowed information to be emailed to partner organisations on the same day as it was discovered, taking at least 24 hours off the Council's response time.

At a review meeting with Managers, the IT Department and Police Representatives Alison Moore (Anti Social Behaviour Co-ordinator) declared the project to be success, and stated that she believed it to be the first of its kind in Scotland.

Hynburn Homes goes live with the ASB Module

Hynburn Homes Ltd went live with the Caseworks ASB Module in October - just a month after the blitz customisation period. The ASB team quickly got several hundred existing cases online and are now moving on to enter new cases as they arise. The system receives a weekly interface file from the IBS rents system.

David Perry (Neighbourhood Housing Manager) has specified a string of enhancements to the Notify and Respond Module - renamed Estate Management Module for Hyndburn - which are being tested and customised at the time of writing. Notify and Respond, was originally developed for Scottish Authorities with large numbers of Wardens, but Leeds and Hyndburn have both seen its potential as a tool for estate management environmental monitoring.

Hyndburn Homes Signs up for Caseworks

Hyndburn Homes Ltd, an RSL which is part of the Contour Group, signed up for CASEWORKS. Hynburn is based in Accrington, Lancashire. It has ordered the ASB module and Notify and Respond Module, and is particularly interested in working with HUBSolutions to develop a public interface, which will form the second part of the Gateway Module.

The "blitz" technique, successfully employed in Leeds will be adopted for Hynburn. A customisation week has been set aside for mid September.

First Leeds ALMO goes Live

On 19th May, just six weeks after contract signing, the first Leeds ALMO went Live. This was a record breaking achievement, all the more remarkable for the complexity of this implementation, which required the training of 300 staff, the setting up of almost 200 standard letters, nearly 100 Key Performance Indicators and 10 Action Plans.

HUBSolutions would like to acknowledge the contribution of key staff at Leeds - particularly the Project Manager and Trainer - without whose commitment this would not have been possible.

Leeds signs up with a deadline

On 10th April, the three Leeds ALMOs signed up to CASEWORKS with an ambitious deadline to implement within two months. In order to focus on the task, HUBSolutions have dedicated two weeks based in a Leeds workshop to define their new customer's requirements.

Hackney Council looks outwards

Hackney Council has commissioned HUBSolutions to look at and develop options to make Caseworks available to RSLs in the area, and to offline-users. This project, is destined to herald in Phase 1 of the Gateway Module - a web portal by which Partners and eventually members of the public, can submit information to Caseworks in a secure manner.

New Offices

HUBSolutions moved its offices, and its registered address, to new premises near Alexandra Park on North London. The new office, at 24 Bidwell Gardens, London, N11 provide more floor space at a lower cost in an exceptionally pleasant area of the London suburbs. Proximity to the London Underground, London Terminals and Luton Airport provide excellent transport links to our customers.

Scottish User Group

HUBSolutions held its first Scottish User Group meeting hosted by South Lanarkshire on 1st February 2008. The meeting was well attended with many representatives from Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police, North Ayrshire and of course, the hosts, South Lanarkshire.

The Company gave demonstrations of its mapping module and its mobile working solution. The latter has been entirely piloted by Scottish customers.

HUBSolutions launches product newsletters

HUBSolutions has committed itself to launch two product newsletters - one for CASEWORKS and one for REVENUES & BENEFITS.

"The Caseworker" was launched just before Christmas with a photo competition for its users. Over 2,000 copies were sent out to all registered system users.

Kier and Islington Phase 1 Completed

HUBSolutions completed Phase 1 of a contract with Kier plc to provide a tablet solution for surveyors working on Kier’s Islington Contract . The software allows surveyors to record all of the defects and raise necessary orders when inspecting empty properties. The system allows the user to code the requirements of each room in the property, using a Schedule of Rates, and allows the inclusion of a photograph. The data is held on the PC until it can be uploaded over the wireless network to the central database. Phase 2 – a matching desktop solution – is due in the New Year.

HUBSolutions launches User Groups

HUBSolutions has committed itself to launch User Groups for all of its products during 2007/2008.
The first objective is to launch three CASEWORKS user groups - Northern, Southern and Scottish.
The first Northern User Group will be hosted by Riverside Housing Group in October 2007.
The fist Scottish User Group will be hosted by South Lanarkshire Council in February 2008.

HUBSolutions launches Customer Satisfaction Form

HUBSolutions announced the launch of a new customer satisfaction database, part of its Issue Log, which will enable customers to express a view about the training they have received, the system they are using and any ideas for changes and enhancements. Customers' staff who have been trained, or whose system has been upgraded, will be encouraged to visit the online form and complete this valuable feedback. The facility is provided to record email addresses, so that users expressing constructive ideas or with negative feedback can be contacted.

HUBSolutions Revamp

Today, Monday 16th October 2006, HUBSolutions underwent a brand relaunch as part of the company's continuing growth and success working closely with the public sector.

The most significant change is the company website (www.hubsolutions.co.uk) where an 'out with the old, in with the new' approach has been taken. Visitors will notice many significant changes, including a more conservative colour scheme of grey and orange. Other new additions to the site include a series of news pages which will be updated frequently by HUBSolutions staff, consultants and programmers and an intuitive interactive menu system to help guide visitors to the section of the website they want quickly and easily.
Other less significant changes include the introduction of email forms, which will soon be replacing our more traditional email links. This is part of our fight against online crime and spam which can jeopordise company security if not dealt with. Customers will still be able to email direct but new enquiries will need to call or email using the online form.
The final part of our transition process is the announcement of our new Switchboard and telephone number. Customers who call this number will receive better customer service with significantly fewer calls being missed or unanswered. Customers can now be transfered to staff and consultants in or out of the office.

HUBSolutions launches Issue Log

HUBSolutions launches its Issue Log, for customers to report faults, customisation requests and enahancement requests and for HUBSolutions staff to document Quality Assurance checks.
The Issue Log is an online database which will streamline reporting and give customers up-to-date information about progress. The system also gives very detailed performance statistics which customers can download.

HUBS' first RSL

Our first RSL - Riverside Housing Group, in Liverpool - have a test system installed in record time, with their 5,000 existing cases imported from Lotus Notes. A major training programme for over 100 staff was completed by the first week in March.

Sutton buys stand-alone QA system

The London Borough of Sutton announced its decision to purchase the stand-alone QA system for SX3 Benefits.

South Tyneside ready for Caseworks

South Tyneside Caseworks installed by the end of the month with a go-live date planned in February. South Tyneside Housing Department are piloting the Tenancy Interface designed to increase the speed of data entry and improve the quality and quantity of personal data.

Strong figures for 2004/05

 HUBSolutions announces record turnover figures for the financial year 2004/5, with a further 50% increase predicted for 2005/6.

Caseworks wins tenders!

Riverside Housing Group, Solihull Arms Length Management Organisation, South Tyneside and St Albans City Council confirm their decisions to purchase Caseworks. Solihull did so after a formal tender process, Riverside and South Tyneside did so after very strong recommendations from existing customers.
