ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014

ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014

August 13, 2014

Customers of the HUBSolutions Caseworks ASB System are, at the time of writing, preparing for major changes to their systems to accommodate the new legislation, ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014.  With the Code of Guidance only released at the end of August, and implementation due for the 20th September this is something of a race against time.

The first round of consultation coincided with the release of the Guidance, and now proposed screen dumps are being sent out for a second round of consultation.  HUBSolutions has taken advantage of the opportunity to release some additional enhancements for its “Legal Actions” pages. These will provide a much more comprehensive analysis of the legal status within the Case History summary with “active legal actions” (unexpired Orders and Notices) appearing boldly at the top of the Case.

The company is now embarking on Stage 2 which is upgrading everyone’s Test Systems with the changes for their approval, prior to final implementation on Live systems in October.

First responses have been positive, such as this one from Clare Eccles, Safer Estates Manager, Cheltenham Borough Homes Ltd.  “Thanks, we like a lot of these changes”.  Like most respondents, she went on to raise a couple of valid points which were taken on board in stage 2.

The legislation can be found here.
