Mapping Interface
The Excel reports also provide the interface to mapping packages. All Person, Incident and Action Reports include Eastings and Northings permitting plotting to main stream packages like MAPINFO or ESRI, while selected reports have been especially designed for the inexpensive MS MAPPPOINT package by converting British Coordinates to Latitude and Longitude. The interface with Mappoint is an exceptionally simple single click from MS Excel.
The interface between Excel and Mappoint 2006, could not be simpler:
1. Select Export to Mappoint Europe

The interface between Excel and Mappoint 2006, could not be simpler:
1. Select Export to Mappoint Europe
2. Just click Finish on the Import Wizard, fields
called Latitude and Longitude will be used
automatically.
Data can be imported repeatedly, each time a
different selection can be displayed with a
different symbol.
Tools allow you to control the colour and shape of
the imported points and the balloon, which appears
when you select a point.
