Geo-coding
All PERSONS, INCIDENTS and ACTIONS are geo coded for import into a mapping package such as MAPINFO.
The system holds a property gazetteer with an easy to use search facility, to guarantee that all records are correctly coded.
Selected geo-coded information can be downloaded to Microsoft Excel.
Geo-coded pages have a ‘Map Button’ to retrieve an internet web page of the map with the property marked.
Geo locations only can be entered – as a means of locating incidents unrelated to residential property.
NOW, fully integrated with Microsoft MapPoint, an inexpensive, very user friendly desk top package which includes detailed street level UK maps. This facility, with CASEWORKS offers:-
1. Data plots as individual points each showing case details in a rollover “balloon”.
2. Allows points to be selected and extracted based on hand drawn or circular area boundaries.
Allows hot-spotting based upon Area / Ward / Kilometre grids, in which a pi chart is drawn in each boundary area, the size representing the number of records, the slices, representing the composition of the data (e.g. Case Status Analysis)
